At Helping Hands, we want each resident to feel as comfortable as they would feel in their own home. While we recognize that the transition to a new residence takes time, there are many suggestions we can make from experience that can help speed up this process.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To have familiar objects, furnishings, art items, and photographs close at hand always helps new residents to feel more at home. We encourage residents and their families to bring in any items from their previous residence that would be appropriate for their new place at Helping Hands. Anything the resident wants can be hung on the walls of his or her room, and lots of photographs always seem to help us get to know the resident better as well as bring to mind many fond memories for the resident. If there is an important item that will only fit into one of our \u201ccommon rooms\u201d such as the living room or family room, we may be able to make room for it there.<\/p>\n

If a resident is unable or unwilling to bring his or her own furnishings into Helping Hands, we provide full furnishings for each resident room including:<\/p>\n
